He finds out that the Glovers are going to the blessing. Marlon challenges Zak to a run with the loser buying the pies and pints at The Woolpack. Dave is looking for his certificates in the sideboard when he comes across some knitting that Jan has obviously done for James. His thought of profit wins the day. Viv is setting off for her day out to supposedly see Scott. Terry sets off at the same time. Frank telephones the hospital for a progress report on Betty. They will not tell him anything. He is in the middle of a meeting with Charles and Chris. Kim tries to disrupt them. Betty comes round. He presumes that she will come back when she is ready. She is busy making a speech to the protesters to keep morale high. Jack asks her what she is planning to do about Chris. He comes into the shop at that moment and asks them to go to the next protest meeting, but they both refuse. Kelly asks Tom to give her a lift to work. Seth is appalled that Frank has sacked Biff. Biff is worried that he will never get another job in the area once Frank spreads the word. Terry has bought paper plates rather than wash up in Betty's absence. Seth calls round and asks Alan to speak to Frank on Biff's behalf. Zoe is not very supportive of Linda and Biff's trouble. She claims that she is a victim as well because Kim is suing her to get at Frank. Zak scares Butch by telling him a story about the ghost of Josiah Dingle being around on Halloween. Seth doesn't know how Betty will react when she finds out that the wedding has been postponed and Biff and Linda may be moving. Chris is talking to Frank about Biff.
