Summary: Klovn is a Danish sitcom, which first aired on the Danish TV channel TV2 Zulu. It focuses on the life of the main character Frank and Casper. The show builds its comedy around quiet everyday situations, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences and general faux pas.
Klovn usually gets compared to the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm by Larry David. It’s also shot handheld, in a pseudo-realistic style. Some have also mistakenly compared the theme to Curb Your Enthusiasm’s, despite it being a direct reference to Jacques Tati’s Mr. Hulot movies. The poster for the first film can be seen in Casper and Frank’s offices throughout the series. Klovn initially ran 6 seasons on TV2 Zulu from 2005-2009 and was renewed with an additional 3 seasons that aired from 2018-2022.

Episode 1: Mamma Mia

Summary: Frank and Mia want to adopt a child and must be approved by the adoption office. Frank is considering signing up as the kids' Santa in the fencing club, and Mia does what she can to make Frank appear attractive. Lars Hjortshøj and Tina Bilsbo want to help them, but when the talk comes about experimental adult sex, the mood changes, and the good attempts have fatal consequences.
Episode 2: More Cheese, Christian Braad Thomsen?

Summary: Casper and Frank think the government is bad at helping the elderly and the artists. They start a think tank with some of the old acquaintances like Leif Sylvester, Susanne Brøgger and Ib Michael. Together they will change developments. Frank and Mia want to develop their sex lives. Despite the good intentions, Frank ends up in challenging scenarios where lube, old ladies and the Danish People's Party are on the agenda.

Summary: Mia receives private lessons in Mensendick from 60-year-old Jønne, and she promises to feed his fish while he is out traveling. Casper believes he has white house potential, as 95% of everything he says is true. Frank is more skeptical, and before long, two girls from the Eastern Bloc, Jønne's jacuzzi, a drowned flower bed and a mad Iben are involved in stupid intricacies that can cast doubt on Casper's white house potential.
Episode 4: Thank You for the Swan Eggs

Summary: Casper and Frank are working on a script that Bille August is interested in. They want to go to Malaga and write like in the old days. Mia has started to croquis, but does not think Frank supports her creative expressions, he is more concerned with him who has been a model for her. How long does it take before you have to borrow a stranger's toilet, whether Iben has kissed with others, and what it is with the croquise model, we get an answer before Frank and Casper return home.
Episode 5: The Japanese Garden

Summary: Casper and Iben are getting married at a water depth of eight meters in Thailand. The friends are in the process of taking the diving certificate and Frank is proud of the role of bestman. Frank helps Casper clean up the sweet life of the past with Signe Lindkvist. But Lars Hjortshøj's cold sores come across, and the wedding is in danger.

Summary: Casper has joined the Serapia horde and has invited Peter Reichardt along. To Frank's great disappointment, there is no room for him. But when Frank has written a Lord of the Rings analogy about the politicians at Christiansborg for Weekendavisen, he is invited into the role-playing association "Ringånderne". Frank is proud that he is also involved in something secret. But internal battles end with drama, a scar on Mia's one breast and a furious Casper.

Summary: Frank and Mia are going to China. Frank is worried about Muffi because it has to be taken care of with Morten Olsen's dog. And maybe Muffi can benefit from Mia's friend, who has had an ugly burglary recently. At the same time, Frank and Casper have started fencing, and here the talk is about impotence and viagra, but Frank will not listen.

Summary: Frank turns 40 and it will be celebrated in style at Hotel Josty. Casper has been his best friend for 11 years and is set to be the toastmaster. But when he offers his semen so that Mia and Frank can have a child, the mood changes, and at the same time Frank destroys the possibility that Mia can live close to her little niece. Frank's birthday is going well, but an important person is missing.
Episode 9: The Shedding Muff

Summary: Frank and Mia give each other calendar gifts during the sweet Christmas season, and Frank gets a pair of skates that become central in serious fuss on the ice rink. In Frank's attempts to save the situation and hold on to his principles, the complications get worse. But before the day is over, Frank turns out to be the big giver, but the one who laughs last laughs best.

Summary: Casper and Iben are going to the BAFTA awards, and Iben has all his LV bags with him. Mia is in doubt whether Frank loves her and whether he would rather be dating someone known in the industry. Frank and Mia have to visit Stig Rossen and his new girlfriend, and Frank is in doubt about how much money Mia's love is worth. Frank arranges a surprise party for Mia, who has to assure her of his love. However, Mia ends up on the toilet, but maybe an LV bag can save the situation.
