Summary: Asia's Next Top Model is a reality television show of Top Model Franchise, in which a number of women compete for the title of Asia's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show will feature aspiring models from the entire Far East region, including South Asia subcontinent.
The show was initially set to launch in mid-2012 on Ice-TV, after a deal was arranged with CBS for a Pan-Asian version. The casting process began in March 28, 2012 and was scheduled to end on May 5 of the same year. Later, the deadline was extended to May 21. The show was produced in Singapore.
On April 11, it was publicly revealed that Nadya Hutagalung would take on the role of Head Judge and Host of the series. Fashion Director, Daniel Boey, Fashion Photographer, Todd Anthony Tyler, and model, Joey Mead King took secondary roles as judges. Around early October, STAR World and Channel 8 introduced the 14 finalists for season one, from 13 countries in South, Southeast and East Asia. The show was initially scheduled to premiere on November 4, 2012. However, the global premiere on STAR World was pushed back to November 25 due to monetary problems. The winner of the first cycle was 27 year old Jessica Amornkuldilok from Thailand.

Episode 2: The Girl Who Is Genetically Blessed
Air Date: April 12nd, 2017
Summary: With 13 contestants remaining, drama ensues when jealousy creeps into the Model House right after a unique dance improvisation challenge that spells disaster for some, followed by a photo shoot to smile about. But an unexpected appearance from the ever-sassy Creative Director, Yu Tsai, at the judging panel puts additional pressure on the models to prove that they have what it takes to be Asia's Next Top Model.
Episode 4: The Girl Who Learnt She Was Flawsome

Summary: This week, the contestants receive an unexpected wake up call from digital superstar, Andrea Chong, who teams them up for their first Social Media challenge of the season; and they must work together again within the confines of a bus for an edgy Model on the Move photo shoot with resident judge Yu Tsai barking behind the lens. As some contestants progress faster than the rest, these group challenges reveal the dominant players who hijack the set, leaving the weak links in the dust. Episode 5: The Girl Who Made ‘It’ Happen
Air Date: May 3rd, 2017
Summary: In their next social media challenge, the contestants are tasked to create fun photo stories from specially selected text phrases. Later, they each have to personify the “It Girl” in a paparazzi-inspired photo shoot.
The stakes are higher as the models have to work with a coveted make-up brand that could propel their modeling careers forward if they manage to impress the client. Special appearances by social media make-up star, Cindercella, and returning colourful make-up expert, Nigel Stanislaus.
Episode 10: The Girls Who Became Friends (and Foes)
Air Date: June 7th, 2017
Summary: With a change in scenery, it is time to strut down memory lane and relive the season's most unforgettable highs and lows in this special Recap Episode; and stay tuned for exclusive never-before-seen confessionals where the models spill the tea on the competition. We also see how the rest of the competition unfolds, get up-close and personal to find the one who is worthy of becoming Asia's Next Top Model.
Episode 11: The Girl Who Threatens The Competition
Air Date: June 14th, 2017
Summary: The girls enjoy a well-deserved getaway to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but there is no getting away from the judges' scrutiny now that an undercover judge joins them 24/7 disguised as a new contestant; and this week, they brave the heat for the longest catwalk challenge, before balancing on ice skates for an editorial photo shoot that puts some of them on thin ice. While competing in Malaysia might seem like home advantage for one of the contestants at first, the weight of the nation proves too much for her to bear. Back at the hotel, everyone puts the newbie through the wringer. Special appearances by fashion photographer, Bibo Aswan; and creative consultant, Daniel Boey.
Episode 12: The Girl Who Sees The Light

Summary: As the Grand Finale fast approaches, the girls are tasked to a daunting Vertical Catwalk challenge; and later, they must pitch their own concept for a "Roadtrip” photo shoot that captures an epic adventure with a sleek car ... and for one girl, tells a personal story that weighs heavily on her heart. The Undercover Judge's job to raise the game is done and the contestants are finally let in on the ruse! After 3 weeks of living and competing with them, she shares exclusive and invaluable insights about the girls with the judging panel that will help determine the most deserving Top 3 Finalists in the competition. Special appearances by Creative Consultant, Daniel Boey; and Celebrity Photographer, Kevin Ou.
Episode 13: The Girl Who Finishes With A Bang
Air Date: June 28th, 2017
Summary: To cap off a spectacular season of expecting the unexpected and high-fashion challenges, the Top 3 take on an avant-garde "Motherland” photo shoot and later, a final bow at an epic "Renaissance Muse” Grand Finale Runway Show where Asia's Next Top Model is crowned. Their journey in the competition also includes heartwarming reunions with their loved ones for a final boost of confidence, as well as with the eliminated models who join them on the runway. Special appearances by model, actress and 2015 Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach; Storm Model agent, Ruby Adler; and Nylon Editor-in-Chief, Adele Chan.
