Summary: Chise is the student and future bride of the Thorn Sorcerer, Elias. They receive a package from Angelica in London: mostly textbooks, save for one special book.

Summary: The magician of the forest invites Chise into his library. Chise is reluctant at first, but they develop a strong friendship that would have a lasting influence on her.

Summary: Chise continues her story. When Chise left the cottage, she saw Miura's spirit who told her about Niikura Mayumi, a young woman whom he was attracted to, but their relationship could not progress because of their different positions. Back in the present, Chise finds Niikura Mayumi who is now an old woman in hospital, and gives her the book for which she is very grateful.
