Summary: Clive Small, the head of the Special Unit decides to prepare an intervention to corner Milat. Paul Gordon questions Milat's ex-wife who tells them that he ran away because Ivan was terrorizing her. On the day of the intervention, all the houses of the Milat family were searched. That of Ivan is surrounded by the police. They are going to conduct a large-scale search to recover as much evidence as possible that could charge him.

Summary: Paul Gordon is convinced that Ivan Milat is the serial killer. Searching through the files, Paul discovers that he was prosecuted for the rape of two hitchhikers in 1971 but he was acquitted. Gordon finds one of the girls who identifies Milat in a photo. Paul finds another testimony via the Hotline set up - that of the Englishman Paul Onions who had managed to escape. He convinces him to return to Australia to testify. For his part Ivan Milat feels followed, he takes his precautions ...
