Tom participates in a world record attempt for the most number of cars doing donuts simultaneously.

A look at the day in the life of Nick Freeman, a hugely successful defense lawyer who’s been dubbed “Mr. Loophole” because of his ability find holes in the law. Tiff gives the brand new 620 horsepower Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano a thrashing about in Italy.

Summary: Jason drives the Lexus GS450h, the first high performance hybrid. Tom sees if 22 people can cram into the new Fiat Grande Punto, a small city car. An update on the winners of all of the cars given away this season by Fifth Gear. A small teaser trailer of a segment that will shown later in the year of behind the scenes of the new James Bond film, Casino Royale, and the new James Bond car, the Aston Martin DBS. Tiff races an Aston Martin DBR9 at Silverstone in the brand new GT3 Championship, against rivals driving Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Corvettes, Maseratis, and Ascaris. Jon Bentley looks into what happens if you put the wrong fuel type into your car. Vicki races a gas (petrol) powered Vauxhall Astra VXR against a tuned diesel powered one driven by Paul O’Neill, an aspiring racing driver and brother of former Spice Girl, Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice).

Summary: Fifth Gear Shootout: Tiff races a BMW 130i M Sport against a Volkswagen Golf R32. Tom examines the new Citroen C6 and gets driven around by Tiff while having a flat tire. Vicki does some budget racing in Rallycross Jason drives the latest generation of the Honda Legend and pits it against it’s rivals, the Audi A6 and a BMW 530i. Guest presenter Tim Lovejoy asks Carl and Didz from the rock band Dirty Pretty Things to pass judgement on the new Radford Mini. Tom’s final report from Japan where this time he visits the world’s largest car dealership which is actually more like a theme park than an actual car dealership. Vicki finishes off the Mercedes E Class from a previous episode.

Summary: Vicki attempts to set a new world record for the most distance traveled in one hour by seven people in a mini-MPV (minivan). Tiff races a Dakar rally BMW motorcycle with it’s BMW X5 support vehicle to see which would win on a known offroad course, the 4×4 or the motorcycle. Jon Bentley gives a 60 second driving review of the Volkswagen EcoRacer. Tom flies to Austria in Alan Sugar’s private jet to test drive the new Audi TT on the road up Austria’s highest mountain, Großglockner. Conclusion of the Fifth Gear concept car competition where the winner is announced. Tiff learns to drift and enters the UK’s inaugural Drifting competition, the D1GP, in a 590 BHP 1991 Toyota Soarer which is fitted with a turbo from a truck. Jason drives the very quick Brook Double R, a brand new British sportscar which is styled like a 60’s grand prix racer, on Britain’s bendiest road.

Summary: Vicki examines all things braking including the differences between different people when it comes to braking and how much worn tires affect your braking in the wet. Jason drives the awesome new Porsche 911 Turbo. Behind the scenes of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Tiff teaches Tom to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo really fast around a track in order to bring his skills up to the Fifth Gear standards. Jon Bentley checks out the top three ultimate car sound systems and evaluates each. Vicki races two small pickup trucks, the Mitsubishi L200 and the Nissan Navara (aka the Nissan Frontier), against each other offroad.

Behind the scenes of the Pixar film Cars. Jon Bentley examines a new safety device for motorcyclists, an airbag jacket. Tom drives the new Ferrari 599 1200 miles from Belgium back home to the Ferrari factory in Italy.
